Kudos sir, Kudos. You hit the nail on the head their by making the distinction that this is not a "series" but a cop-out using the actual name of a previous game. Personally, you gotta throw Nintendo onto the fault-train with Activision because this is a Wii exclusive and if you're going to have a non-first-party exclusive game, it better damn well show off some amazing feature of the hardware/software/interface/Japan. Nintendo ultimately green-lit this bastardized version of a game, which is funny in comparison with the care they have taken to ensure that NBA Jam (at least at this point) looks more than decent and makes me shake my fist and curse the sky that it is an exclusive (despite the fact I own a Wii).
